We are embarking on the '96 Lesson Training' here in Brisbane and Paul Hon is here to help us to get ready. Praise the Lord for His move on the earth today. We all need to be trained so that not only are we equipped to serve the Lord but also help to bring Him back. Brothers, I am currently not working and may not be working for some time. The university that I have been working at has not asked me to return to teach at this time. This is always an awkward time of the year because a large EAP (English for Academic Purposes) session ends in June, and that means about 20 EAP teachers have no or little work. I may have work when the next session begins, which is in mid October. Last year, there were no problems and I had work throughout the year. When I did my PhD, I had the desire that I would serve the Lord with my English teaching knowledge in some capacity, and that basically meant teaching English to the saints in Taiwan . Now that I am not working I was hoping that I could offer my services to the saints in Tungshih and Fengyuan (and of course Shihkang, Xince, and Zuolan) for about a month. This means that I would teach English to any full-timers in Fengyuan and all the saints in these surrounding areas. In addition, we could have English-speaking meetings whenever possibility, and persue any English messages that the saints had a burden for. (I have been reading the Old Testamant and it has been so enjoyable) All that I would ask for in return is that the travel expenses to and from Brisbane and living accommodation be met by the saints there. (Currently the airfare from Brisbane to Taipei is around $A1,000) Since I am not working (fulltime) I could leave anytime. It would be wonderful to enjoy the Lord with the dear brothers and sisters in Taichung County ! Brothers, we need to redeem the time and make ourselves useful for the Lord. Please bring this matter to the Lord and the responsible brothers.
